Plan Revision - Phase 2

Help shape the future of the Tonto National Forest and get involved in revising the Tonto National Forest Land and Resource Management Plan (Forest Plan) by providing your feedback on the Preliminary Proposed Plan (PPP)

Comments on the Preliminary Proposed Plan are most useful if received by January 12, 2018. Comments can be submitted in the following ways:
  • By Email:;
  • By mail to: Tonto National Forest, Tonto Plan Revision, 2324 E. McDowell Rd. Phoenix 85006;
  • Or, in person at one of the November Plan Revision Public Meetings.

The Draft Proposed Plan and Draft Environmental Impact Statement are expected in late spring/early summer with more opportunities to engage.

Field Trips
The planning team is working to organize field trips across the forest to look at areas of interest and discuss desired conditions for our resources. Let us know (click here) if you want to be involved or have an idea for a field trip.
