Plan Revision Public Meetings (June 2017)
The Tonto National Forest hosted eight Plan Revision Public Meetings between June 13th - June 22nd to discuss development and ideas for revising the land and resource management plan (Forest Plan) and the wilderness recommendation process. These meetings were held in Tonto Basin, Superior, Cave Creek, Phoenix, Mesa, Young, Payson, and Globe. As a reminder, the Tonto National Forest published a Notice of Intent to develop the Revised Tonto National Forest Plan and associated Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) in the Federal Register on April 6, 2017. The Forest Service allocated a 45-day scoping period, which ended on Monday, May 23, 2017. For more information on the Notice of Intent click here.
