2nd Technical Partner Meeting in Mesa

Utilizing notes from the November 2017 Partner Workshop and public comments, resource specialists have developed elements of the draft alternatives and are seeking feedback and discussion. Due to public/partner interest, the alternative development workshop was focused on recreation and restoration (two of the draft issues identified below).

The materials below were reviewed and discussed during the 2nd Technical Partner Meeting and updates will be which will be used to develop the Draft Forest Plan (DFP) and Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS).

1st Technical Partner Meeting in Phoenix

The Tonto National Forest also held an ALL-DAY Technical Partner Meeting on November 21, 2017 focused on the Preliminary Proposed Plan, the next critical step in the Forest Plan Revision process. This workshop facilitated technical in-depth discussion on topics such as: rangelands and grazing, forests and fuels, restoration, recreation, wildlife, invasive species, and more. Partners spent time working side-by-side with resource specialists and Plan Revision Team members to discuss and provide feedback on the content of the Preliminary Proposed Plan.
